Lalitha Sahasranamam (6-10)

06.UDYADBHANUSAHASRABHA
She is as bright as a thousand (sahasrabha) rising suns (udyadbhanu).
Her effulgence is red like that of a thousand rising suns.
only the thought of her cosmic form could equal this radiance given out by the all knowing. The Satyaloka is situated on the topmost part and is Her head; the Sun and Moon are Her eyes; the quarters, Her ears; the Vedas are Her words; the Universe is Her heart; the earth is Her loins; the Bhuvarloka is Her navel; the asterisms are Her Thighs; the Maharloka is Her neck; the Janarloka is Her Face; the Taparloka is Her head, situated below the S'atyaloka; Indra and the Devas and the Svarloka is Her arms; the sound is the organ of Her ears; the As'vin twins, Her nose; the smell is the organ of smell; the fire is within Her face; day and night are like Her two wings. The four-faced Brahmâ is Her eyebrows; water is Her palate; the juice thereof is Her organ of taste; Yama, the God of Death, is Her large teeth; the affection is Her small teeth; Mâyâ is Her smile; the creation of Universe is Her sidelooks; modesty is Her upper lip; covetousness is Her lower lip; unrighteousness is Her back. The Prajâpati is Her organ of generation; the oceans are Her bowels; the mountains are Her bones; the rivers are Her veins; and the trees are the hairs of Her body. The sizzling beauty brings thousand stars together illuminating the entire universe contained in her.
07.CHATURBAHUSAMANVITA
She is endowed with four arms (chaturbahu)
The arms of love, compassion, forgiveness and protection reminding us of her motherly affection .Every manifestation of power in the universe is Mother. She is Life, She is Intelligence, She is Love. She is in the universe, yet separate from it.
08. RAGASVARUPAPASADHYA
She holds the noose of desire(raga) in her lower left hand.
she the all knowing controls this universe and she holds the desire of mankind to unite with god. he who knows this, having become peaceful, controlled, detached, patient and concentrated,Sees the atman in himself and sees all in the atman.Evil does not overcome him, but he overcomes all evil; evil does not consume him, but he consumes all evil.Free from evil, free from passion, free from doubt, he becomes a knower of Brahman.
09.KRODHAKARANKUSHOJWALA
She is shining holding the elephant hook symbolising wrath (krodha) and wordly knowledge (akara) in her lower right hand.
He who understands that fear, anger jealous does not lead to heaven and does not make us a better human will understand that she is there holding this krodha and anger to make us realise that she is the controller of this universe. In her the shiva ,bhrama and vishnu resides.Shakti is the "power" which pervades the whole of the universe, and from which the Universe has emanated. There is nothing within the manifest world which is not Shakti in its essence. The manifest world is mind and matter, that is to say, all that we call our thought, will, imagination, etc. is mind, and all the realm of nature is matter. She--in her highest aspect--is pure spirit or pure consciousness -- as such she is called Chit-Shakti -- but her nature and essence become apparent also in all that we are aware of through our senses. So She is matter--substance too--and as such She is called Maya-Shakti. Here is no antagonism between the spiritual and the natural sides of the universe, since she is both of them.
10.MANORUPEKSHUKODANDHA
She is holding the sugarcane symbolising the mind in her upper left hand.
the verses from soundarya lahiri compliments this
Kvanat-kanchi-dama kari-kalabha-kumbha-stana-nata
Pariksheena madhye parinata-sarachandra-vadana;
Dhanur banan pasam srinim api dadhana karatalaii
Purastad astam noh Pura-mathitur aho-purushika.
With a golden belt, Adorned by tiny tingling bells, Slightly bent by breasts like the two frontal globesOf an elephant fine, With a thin pretty form, And with a face like the autumn moon, Holding in her hands, A bow of sugar cane , arrows made of flowers, And the noose and goad, She who has the wonderful form, Of the ego of the God who burnt the three cities,Should please come and appear before us. May the Divine Mother with Her slender waist girdled with jingling mini-bells, body slightly bent in the middle by the weight of Her breasts resembling the frontal globes of the forehead of a young elephant, Her face blooming like the autumnal full moon and Her four hands holding bow, arrow, noose and goad and who is the pride of Siva, manifest her presence before us.
